The library opened an exhibition for Yousef and Anis Sayegh library
Birzeit University Library opened on Monday, 20/01/2014, an exhibition for dr. Anis and dr. Yousef Sayegh library, where their families had earlier donated two libraries contain books in the areas of academic, intellectual, and political different to Birzeit University.

The Library opened "Exhibition for university cadres Publications", where the exhibition seeks to review the research products for the cadres of the university during the past ten years, and to highlight the importance of scientific research, and the advancement of the movement of copyright.

on Thursday, 07-11-2013 Mr. Rami Shihada from Techknowledge Company held three workshops on online databases (Turnitin, Knovel, Al manhal), many faculty members and some library employee attended the workshops.
Dr. Anis Sayigh's library received at Birzeit University
Birzeit University Main Library has received a shipment of 6000 books and journals on different intellectual, political and historical collections from the library of the late Dr. Anis Sayigh, courtesy of his family, BZU library Director Mrs. Diana Sayej Naser expressed her thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sayigh's family saying: "we promise to keep this precious gift, to be a legacy for the future Palestinian generations, the library will celebrate that event and display the books to the public at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2013.

The workshop took place on Tuesday 29-3-2011 from 11.00:1.00
28 participants attended the workshop from several Palestinian University Libraries in addtion to Deans, teachers and library staff from Birzeit University .

Birzeit Main Library and Palestinian National Archive have conducted a course on "Records Management and Electronic Archiving " during the period 21-29-6/2010.
19 Participants attended the course from the Library, University Departments and few representatives from other Universities.
The presenters were Dr. Mohammed Bhais the Director of Palestinian National Archives, and Mr. Fawwaz Salameh the General Manager of government records.

The Library Director has called for a series of meetings to PALICO members from all Palestinian Universities in order to set up the consortium laws and bylaws which aim at getting better prices when purchasing the
e-resources. The meetings were held between February and June 2009

BZU Library in cooperation with the Cultural Committee has organized a workshop
on " stress management" given by Dr. Laila Atshan. Most of the library staff & few from the branches
have participated. The event took place on Thursday 7/12/2006.

The Library has organized its annual bookfair to sell all old, weeded and duplicate books. This was for three
days from Monday-Wednesday 4-6/12/2006.

34 attendees joined the workshop; librarious, teachers, students, researchers and representatives from Al-Quds University Library.

- The Main Library has organized a course on : "The Library of Congress Classification System." between the 26th of February and the 3rd of March 2001. There were 18 participants from local institutions, Main Library and Branches.
- A course on "First Aid" was held in the library by Miss Reem Miqdadi from "The Palestinian Medical Relief" between the 20th and the 30th of January 2001 with a total of 6 sessions (12 hours). Staff from the Main librray and the branches participated in this course.

- A workshop on "Microsoft Word" was held in the Main Library by Asad Tom on Tuesday 9/5/2000. All staff & branch libraries attended.
- A workshop on "Advanced Email" was held in the Main Library by Mahmoud Murrar on Monday 6/3/2000. All library staff participated.
- A "Workshop on Time Management" was held in the library on the 31st of January 2000. The participants were heads of library departments and branch libraries with some of the library staff.

- In June 1999, three Minisis courses were held at Birzeit University about the new version of the system using windows environment : two preliminary courses and one advanced. Participants were from the main library and other branches plus librarians and computer people from other universities and institutions in Palestine. The trainer Mr. Terry Gavin / the System Director from IDRC-Canada.
- In coordination with Goethe Institute & the International Relations Office, a seminar was held in BZU on the 16th & 17th of February 1999 entitled: "Planning and Design of Library Buildings". Participants were professional librarians and architects from the West Bank. All professional librarians and Heads of Departments in the library have participated.
